One of Maryland's many wild browns. Only brook trout are native to Maryland. With the exception of Western Maryland and small streams along the northern tier of the state, brookies have been supplanted by wild browns and stocked rainbows. Protecting brook trout habitat is a primary goal of state Trout Unlimited chapters.

On May 28th 2014, PPTU losts its chapter President and Friend, Jim Robinson. It was a sad and surprising loss to everyone who had the pleaseure of knowing him. Jim was very active not only with TU, but also with his local church and the Boy Scouts. Jim spent countless hours on the road helping to deliver fingerlings to schools through the Trout in the Classroom program.
