Mr. Rob Shane
Job title:
Volunteer Operations Coordinator
About me:
I am a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and had been working in commercial real-estate in Washington D.C. most recently, but my true passion is conservation. An inveterate Great Lakes steelhead angler, I grew up learning about the importance of conservation and protecting our resources from my father, an Ohio EPA agent. In my spare time I am a volunteer head coach in D.C.'s Little League program and this past season, got to coach the Trout Unlimited sponsored team. I have also volunteered with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and as a mentor and tutor. I also serve as a board-member for the Potomac-Patuxent Chapter of Trout Unlimited. When I'm not working, coaching, or participating in TU Chapter activities, I spend much of my free time searching out the fishing opportunities in Maryland, Virginia, and right here in Washington, DC. As Volunteer Operations Coordinator, my primary role will be to assist you, our volunteer leaders, with all of your support needs. Feel free to reach out to request help or just say hi at rshane@tu.org or (703) 284-9425.
