Action on Fracking....

Dear Members of TU Mid-Atlantic Council,

Yesterday you should have received an email from Keith Curley of the TU Governmental Affairs Staff.  It requested that you use the TU Online Action Center to help safeguard aquatic resources on public lands by sending online comments to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) on its proposed hydraulic fracking rule.

Why We Care

This is an issue of great concern in our region, particularly the state of Maryland, and our Mid-Atlantic Council is strongly urging you to respond to Keith Curley's email, and to use the TU Online Action Center to send comments to the BLM.

What You Can Do

Sending comments using the Online Action Center is very easy and only takes a couple of minutes of your time.  Please send your comments TODAY.  The deadline for comments to the BLM on this critical issue is TOMORROW, AUGUST 23rd.  It is very important that our concern for protecting coldwater resources is clearly heard by the BLM as they move to develop the Federal rule that will govern fracking on public lands. Please make sure that your voice is heard.

George Gaines, Chair
